Wood Recycling Surrey
The amount of treatment that has taken place is a critical factor in recycling wood waste.
Wood is streamed into the following recognised categories:
Category A Wood: This is wood that has received no treatment whatsoever and is unpainted. It can be either be used for mulch or made into biomass pellets for energy production. This wood is separated out and sent to a wood recycling specialist
Category B Wood: This is wood that has been treated with non-hazardous chemicals. This wood is also segregated and sent for use as fuel
Category C Wood: This type of wood has been broken down or treated with chemicals. Category C wood includes municipal and industrial wood, plywood, unfaced chipboard, OSB, melamine, Formica and laminated wood
