Plasterboard Recycling

In 2009 the Environment Agency made legislative changes designed to encourage more plasterboard recycling. As a result, plasterboard can no longer be sent to landfill as a component of mixed waste. It must be separated from other wastes and disposed of either at a dedicated plasterboard recycling facility or at a special landfill site that is licensed to accept gypsum based products.

Our Waste Plasterboard Recycling process:
Plasterboard cannot be accepted as part of mixed waste
Plasterboard must be pre-sorted
Must be kept separate from other waste types
All the plasterboard that we receive is sent to a specialist plasterboard recycling facility.
